If you’ve got questions about emerging information technologies, the Technology Sandbox may have the answers you’re looking for.  And, if the Sandbox can’t give you complete answers, at least it can point you to people on campus who are working on the technologies you’re interested in.  The Technology Sandbox is both a physical space and an organizational structure that was formed to allow departments to collaborate in evaluating technologies, to publish their findings, and to help in the implementation of those technologies.  The Technology Sandbox makes it possible for UCLA to avoid duplication in evaluation efforts, and provides a mechanism where the addition of a small resource can enable distributed centers to accomplish things they might not have had the resources to do on their own.  The Technology Sandbox also provides vendors with a single point of entry to the campus.

The Technology Sandbox physical space – located on the 4th floor of the Math Science Building – has been renovated so as to provide the infrastructure for the rapid development and evaluation of technologies.  Checkout the Technology Sandbox official website, where you can get information about a variety of information technology projects on campus.
