Updating SAS 9.x for Linux

Between the releases, SAS provides patches to fix bugs. These patches are called hot fixes by SAS. SAS has further grouped a lot of the hot fixes together into Service Pack to ease the process of downloading and installing  If you have just installed SAS system or have SAS system running on your Linux machine but have not installed any of the hot fixes, we suggest that you install Service Pack(s) to keep the SAS system up to date.

Right now (3/1/2005) Service Pack 1 is available and here is the link to Linux version of SAS 9.1.3. Please keep in mind that the executable file is fairly large (about 173M) so you need a fast internet connection to download it.

There are also some other hot fixes available. But you have to install Service Pack 1 before installing any other hot fixes.
