How do I update my copy of Stata?

After you install Stata, you want to update it to get the most recent updates.  Once you are connected to the internet, you can type

update all

If needed, Stata will prompt you to type

update swap

You can follow the onscreen instructions to complete the update process.

Stata is frequently updated.  By default Stata will check for updates every seven days, and it will alert you if there are any updates.
