Updating SPSS for Windows
Between releases, SPSS provides patches to fix known problems with the
software. To keep your SPSS up to date, you will have to download and install
these patches. Follow these steps for updating your SPSS (applies to SPSS 14 and
higher).
- From within SPSS, click on Help and then Check for Updates
- This will start a web browser that will tell you if you are using the
latest version, or if there are updates. If there are updates, you may need
to login to the SPSS web site. You can use the userid
guest and password guest to access the
updates.
- Once you apply the updates, I found that you need to reboot your machine
for the updates to take effect, but your results may differ.
