To get the Hoffman2 app on your Android phone, you can open the Google Marketplace app on your phone and search for UCLA Hoffman2. You will need to download the app called UCLA Hoffman2 Cluster.

You must have a Hoffman2 login id and a Grid account in order to use the Hoffman2 Android app. A Grid account is automatically created when you apply for a Hoffman2 login id. This is the same grid username and passphrase you use when you access the Hoffman2 over the web at http://grid.ucla.edu or http://portal.ucgrid.org
Step 1: Download Hoffman2 App (UCLA Hoffman2 Cluster) from Google Market Place site and launch the Hoffman2 App
Step 2: Click on the folder button named executable. Your home directory will be displayed. Select your executable to run by clicking it. (hello.sh in this example)
Step 3: Click Select button at the bottom.
Step 4: (Optional) If you need to change the Job Type or save the job selection for later submission, please scroll down to see those options.
Step 5: Click on Submit button to submit the job to Hoffman2.

Step 1: Click Applications button from menu
Step 2: All pre-installed applications will be displayed. Select the application you want to use. The default path name and options to executable on Hoffman2 will be displayed.
Step 3: The following window appears
Step 4: Enter the input file (For Matlab input is entered against stdin field)
Step 5: Click Submit to submit the job to Hoffman2 scheduler (SGE). (Press device menu item when necessary to display icons. )

Just click the second tab (Job status) and click Refresh button. You will have to click menu item to see Refresh button.
Click the job status button and the select the job. Click the device menu button to display the view icon and click view.
Click the job status button and select the job. The view button (from device menu) will display the stdout and stderr. Press device menu button again to see e-mail button. Click on the email button after the job's output is displayed.

Select the job status and click and hold the job you want to see the details. The job status display will contain any jobs submitted from anywhere including console, UCLA Grid Portal, and this device. Basically we dump the output from qstat -j jobid for all the jobs displayed with qstat -u userid command.
Press the menu button for delete option
Click the Home button followed by device menu button. Then click on the New Directory button and enter the directory name and create the directory relative to the current directory.

Press and hold on directory icon
You will need to mount the SD card to PC and drag the input file from PC to Hoffman2 directory.

Select the file and press the menu and click Upload button By default, it always go the Hoffman2 cluster home directory.
