Software (CD or DVD media) licensed by UCLA Departments may be checked out for one week periods by the Authorized Department Contacts. Requestors will receive an email confirming reservation status. Thank you for considering other licensees by not reserving or checking out software if you will be out of the office during your reservation period. Most software requires the installer to have "administrator rights". By checking out any software media package, you agree to be responsible for the timely, intact return of the package you borrow. Borrowers who fail to return a software media package will be charged the full cost to replace that package.

Authorized Department Contacts may be the system owner, PI, CSC, or a Technical Support staff member. Contacts are designated on the Authorization to Recharge license order form completed by departments. If you want to verify that you are a designated contact you should review your department copy of the license order form. You may also send an inquiry to SoftwareCentral. Be sure to include the product name and department name.

If you wish to install SPSS on your laptop, please call (310) 206-4780 or email Software Central (softwarecentral@ucla.edu) to make an appointment to install at our offices at 4933 Math Science Building. This process will take approximately 45 minutes and is available M-F 8am to 3pm to all current SPSS license holders.

Reserving Older Software Media
If you are looking for older software releases and do not see them listed here, we may have them in our archive. You may still check them out if you are licensed. Just drop us an email to Software Central requesting the specific product and version.
